Process for Upgrade and Recovery Of Polyphenol Extracts
PUReOPE provides a unique and innovative methodology for the extraction of high-value polyphenol compounds from process waste in brewing and related sectors. It provides an environmental benefit by reducing effluent volumes and treatment requirements and also a further economic benefit by recovering water and caustic suitable for re-use. It provides valuable compounds from natural resources, which are used in a range of industries, including healthcare and food processing. The project objectives are to:
FDT are the Project Coordinator and Lead Partner working with project partners CPL from the UK, with expert consultants from Ireland, Germany, UK and Italy. The partnership has capabilities to address barriers including regulation, manufacturing, market access, technical development and support, financing and dissemination.
